দাবানলসম সংসারদহনে
দগ্ধজীবকুলৌদ্ধার কারণে,
করুণাবারিদ ক্ড়্পাবারিদানে
(বন্দি) গুণসিন্ধু গুরুর চরণকমল ১
dābānala-sama saṁsāra-dahane
dagdha-jībakula-uddhāra kāraṇe,
karuṇā-bārida kṛpābāri-dāne

dābānala — forest fire; sama — just like; saṁsāra — material existance; dahane — burns; dagdha — scorched; jībakula — living beings; uddhāra — deliver; kāraṇe — for the purpose of; karuṇā — compassion; bārida — cloud; kṛpābāri — mercy + unbounded; dāne — he gives; (bandi) — I adore; guṇasindhu — auspicious qualities + ocean; gurura — śrī guru’s; caraṇa kamala — lotus feet
To deliver the living beings scorched by the blazing forest fire of material existence, śrī gurudeva manifests like a cloud of compassion and showers his unbounded mercy. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva who is an ocean of auspicious qualities.
ন্ড়্ত্যগীতবাদ্যশ্রীহরিকীর্তনে
রহেন মগন মহামত্ত মনে,
রোমাঞ্চ কম্পাশ্রু হয় গৌরপ্রেমে
বন্দি সেই গুরুর চরণকমল ২
nṛtya-gīta-bādya-śrīharikīrtane
rahena magana mahāmatta mane,
romāñca kampāśru haya gaurapreme

nṛtya — dancing; gīta — singing; bādya — playing musical instruments; śrīharikīrtane — in śrī-hari-kīrtan; rahena — he remains; magana — immersed; mahāmatta — greatly + intoxicated, maddened; mane — in the heart; romāñca — hair standing on end; kampāśru — shivering + tears; haya — fall; gaurapreme — Gaura + in love; bandi — I adore; sei — that; gurura — śrī guru’s; caraṇa kamala — lotus feet
His heart intoxicated in the prema-rasa of Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s kīrtana, śrī guru dances, sings, and plays various instruments. Becoming intoxicated by love, his hair stands on end, he shivers, and sheds torrents of tears. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva.
সদা রত যিনি বিগ্রহসেবনে
শ্ড়্ঙ্গারাদি আর মন্দিরমার্জনে,
করেন নিয়ুক্ত অনুগতজনে
বন্দি সেই গুরুর চরণকমল ৩
sadā rata yini bigraha-sebane
śṛṅgārādi āra mandira-mārjane,
karena niyukta anugatajane

Śrī gurudeva always worships and serves śrī vigraha, dressing and decorating Them in varieties of raiments and ornaments (that stimulate Their śṛṅgāra-rasa) and performing other services such as cleansing the temple. He also engages the devotees (under his guidance) in these services. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva.
চর্ব্যচুষ্যলেহ্যপেয়রসময়
প্রসাদান্ন ক্ড়্ষ্ণের অতি স্বাদু হয়,
ভক্তআস্বাদনে নিজ ৎড়্প্ত রয়
বন্দি সেই গুরুর চরণকমল ৪
carbya-cuṣya-lehya-peya-rasamaya
prasādānna kṛṣṇera ati sbādu haya,
bhakta-āsbādane nija tṛpta raya

carbya — chewed; cuṣya — sucked; lehya — licked; peya — drunk; rasamaya — full of nectar; prasādānna — food remnants; kṛṣṇera — of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; ati — extremely; sbādu — delicious; haya — becomes; bhakta — devotees; āsbādane — by relishing; nija — himself; tṛpta — satisfied; raya — he remains; bandi — I adore; sei — that; gurura — śrī guru’s; caraṇa kamala — lotus feet
Śrī guru feels much contentment in satisfying Śrī Hari’s devotees with the four kinds of bhagavat-prasāda—that which is chewed, sucked, licked, and drunk. (By honoring such prasāda, material life is destroyed and true satisfaction, or the bliss of prema, is attained.) I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva.

অনন্ত মাধুর্যলীলাআস্বাদনে,
লুব্ধ চিত্ত যিনি হন প্রতিক্ষণে

যুক্তি করে সখীগণে ব্ড়্ন্দাবনে,
অতি দক্ষ তাহে, প্রিয়তমগণে

ati dakṣa tāhe, priyatamagaṇe

brajayubadbandba — Vraja + youthful + couple; rati — amorous pastimes; sambardhane — increases; yukti kare — he arranges; sakhīgaṇe — with the sakhīs; bṛndābane — in Vṛndāvana; ati — extremely; dakṣa — expert; tāhe — to Them; priyatamagaṇe — most dear; bandi — I adore; sei — that; gurura — śrī guru’s; caraṇa kamala — lotus feet
In carrying out the sakhīs’ arrangements for the perfection of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa’s amorous pastimes within the groves of Vṛndāvana, śrī guru is masterfully adept and thus especially dear to Them. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva.
সর্বশাস্ত্রে গায় শ্রীহরির স্বরূপ
ভক্তগণ ভাবে সেই অনুরূপ,
কিন্তু যিনি প্রভুপ্রিয়তমরূপ

sarbaśāstre gāya śrīharira sbarūpa
bhaktagaṇa bhābe sei anurūpa,
kintu yini prabhu-priyatama-rūpa

sarbaśāstre — all + in scriptures; gāya — sing; śrīharira — Śrī Hari’s; sbarūpa — direct manifestation; bhaktagaṇa — the devotees; bhābe — think; sei — this; anurūpa — according; kintu — yet; yini — he; prabhu — Lord; priyatama rūpa — most dear; bandi — I adore; sei — that; gurura — śrī guru’s; caraṇa kamala — lotus feet
Scriptures unanimously proclaim śrī guru to be sākṣāt-hari, directlly Śrī Hari. This is a fact jointly corroborated by all saintly persons. Yet at the same time, śrī guru is very dear to Bhagavān. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva (who is inconceivably one with and different from Bhagavān).
যাংহার প্রসাদে ক্ড়্ষ্ণক্ড়্পা পাই
যাংঽর অপ্রসাদে অন্য গতি নাই,
ত্রিসন্ধ্যা কীর্তির স্তব ধ্যানে ভাই
বন্দি সেই গুরুর চরণকমল ৮

yā̃’ra aprasāde anya gati nāi,
tri-sandhyā kīrtira staba dhyāne bhāi

yā̃hāra — whose; prasāde — by grace; kṛṣṇakṛpā — Śrī Kṛṣṇa + mercy; pāi — attains; yā̃’ra — whose; aprasāde — by absence of mercy; anya — other; gati — way; nāi — no; tri sandhyā — three junctions of the day; kīrtira — of the glories; staba — praise; dhyāne — in meditation; bhāi — O brother; bandi — I adore; sei — that; gurura — śrī guru’s; caraṇa kamala — lotus feet
Solely by the mercy of śrī guru one can receive the mercy of Bhagavān; without it, one cannot make any advancement. Meditate on and sing śrī guru’s glories at the three sacred junctions of the day. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva.
গুরুদেবাষ্টক অতি যত্নকরিঽ
ব্রাহ্মমুহূর্তে পḓএ উচ্চ করিঽ
ব্ড়্ন্দাবননাথ সাক্ষাৎ শ্রীহরি
সেবা পায় সেই বস্তুসিদ্ধিকালে ৯
gurudebāṣṭaka ati yatnakari’
brāhma-muhūrte paḓe ucca kari’
bṛndābana-nātha sākṣāt śrīhari
sebā pāya sei bastusiddhi-kāle 9
gurudebāṣṭaka — Śrī Guruvāṣṭakam; ati — very; yatnakari’ — attentively; brāhma muhūrte — during the brahma-muhūrta (the time period beginning one and a half hours before sunrise); paḓe — recites; ucca kari’ — loudly; bṛndābana nātha — the life and soul of Vṛndāvana; sākṣāt — direct; śrīhari — of Śrī Hari; sebā — service; pāya — achieves; sei — he; bastusiddhi — perfected spiritual form; kāle — at the time
That person who, during brāhma-muhūrta, loudly and attentively recites this Guruvāṣṭakam is sure to achieve direct service to the lotus feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the life and soul of Vṛndāvana, at the end of his current life (upon attaining vastu-siddhi, his eternal spiritual form).
