গুরুদেব!
ক্ড়্পাবিন্দু দিয়া, কর এই দাসে,
ৎড়্ণাপেক্ষা অতি হীন
সকলসহনে, বল দিয়া কর,
নিজমানে স্প্ঢ়াহীন ১
gurudeba!
kṛpābindu diyā, kara ei dāse,
tṛṇāpekṣā ati hīna
sakala-sahane, bala diyā kara,
nija-māne spṛhāhīna 1
gurudeba — O Gurudeva; kṛpābindu — mercy + a drop; diyā — having given; kara — make; ei — this; dāse — to servant; tṛṇāpekṣā — blade of grass + more than; ati — extremely; hīna — low; sakala — everything; sahane — to tolerate; bala — strength; diyā — having given; kara — make; nija — self; māne — of respect; spṛhāhīna — desire + devoid
O Gurudeva, give me a drop of mercy and make this servant more humble than a blade of grass. Give me the strength to tolerate everything and make me free from my vanity.
সকলে সম্মান, করিতে শকতি,
দেহ নাথ! যথায়থ
তবে তঽ গাইব, হরিনামসুখে,
অপরাধ হঽবে হত ২
sakale sammāna, karite śakati,
deha nātha! yathāyatha
tabe ta’ gāiba, harināma-sukhe,
aparādha ha’be hata 2
sakale — to everyone; sammāna karite — to honor; śakati — power; deha — give; nātha — O Master; yathāyatha — accordingly; tabe — then; ta’ — certainly; gāiba — I shall sing; harināma — the names of Hari; sukhe — blissfully; aparādha — offenses; ha’be — will be; hata — vanquished
Give me the power, O Master, to honor all living entities according to their due. Then I shall chant the holy names of Śrī Hari blissfully, and my offenses will be vanquished.
কবে হেন ক্ড়্পা, লভিয়া এ জন,
ক্ড়্তার্থ হইবে নাথ!
শক্তিবুদ্ধিহীন, আমি অতি দীন,
কর মোরে আত্মসাথ ৩
kabe hena kṛpā, labhiyā e jana,
kṛtārtha ha·ibe nātha!
śakti-buddhihīna, āmi ati dīna,

kabe — when; hena — such; kṛpā — mercy; labhiyā — having received; e — this; jana — person; kṛtārtha — successful; ha·ibe — will be; nātha — O Master; śakti — strength; buddhihīna — intelligence + devoid; āmi — I; ati — extremely; dīna — fallen; kara — make; more — me; ātmasātha — close to your heart
When will this person receive such mercy and be successful in life, O Master? I am devoid of strength and intelligence and am extremely fallen. Kindly take my soul and make me your own.
যোগ্যতাবিচারে, কিছু নাহি পাই,
তোমার করুণা সার
করুণা না হৈলে, কান্দিয়া কান্দিয়া,
প্রাণ না রাখিব আর ৪
yogyatā-bicāre, kichu nāhi pāi,
tomāra karuṇā sāra
karuṇā nā haile, kā̃diyā kā̃diyā,
prāṇa nā rākhiba āra 4
yogyatā — qualification; bicāre — in consideration; kichu nāhi — nothing; pāi — I find; tomāra — your; karuṇā — mercy, compassion; sāra — essence; karuṇā — merciful; nā — not; haile — if you are; kā̃diyā kā̃diyā — having cried and cried; prāṇa — life; nā — not; rākhiba — I will maintain; āra — more
If I consider my qualification, I find nothing of value; your mercy is the essence of my existence. If you are not merciful, then, weeping and weeping, I will no longer maintain my life.
