গুরুদেব!
কবে মোর সেই দিন হবে?
মন স্থির করিঽ, নির্জনে বসিয়া,
ক্ড়্ষ্ণনাম গাঽব যবে
সংসারফুকার, কাণে না পশিবে,
দেহরোগ দূরে রঽবে ১

kabe mora sei dina habe?
mana sthira kari’, nirjane basiyā,
kṛṣṇanāma gā’ba yabe
saṁsāra-phukāra, kāṇe nā paśibe,
deha-roga dūre ra’be 1
gurudeba — O Gurudeva; kabe — when; mora — mine; sei — that; dina — day; habe? — will be; mana — mind; sthira kari’ — having steadied; nirjane — in a solitary place; basiyā — having sat; kṛṣṇanāma — Kṛṣṇa + names; gā’ba — I will sing; yabe — when; saṁsāra — mundane world; phukāra — loud calling; kāṇe — in ear; nā — not; paśibe — will enter; deha — bodily; roga — diseases; dūre — far away; ra’be — will remain
O Gurudeva! When will that day be mine? Making my mind steady and sitting in a solitary place, I will sing Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s names. At that time, worldly topics will not enter my ears and the diseases of the body will remain far away.
‘হরে ক্ড়্ষ্ণঽ বলিঽ, গাহিতে গাহিতে,
নয়নে বহিবে লোর
দেহেতে পুলক, উদিত হইবে,
প্রেমেতে করিবে ভোর ২

hare kṛṣṇa’ — “Hare Kṛṣṇa”; bali’ — having chanted; gāhite gāhite — singing and singing; nayane — from eyes; bahibe — will flow; lora — tears; dehete — on body; pulaka — hair; udita ha·ibe — will stand on end; premete — in transcendental love; karibe bhora — I shall become overwhelmed, filled
While chanting “Hare Kṛṣṇa,” tears will flow from my eyes, the hair of my body will stand on end, and I shall become overwhelmed with prema.
গদগদ বাণী, মুখে বাহিরিবে,
কাম্পিবে শরীর মম
ঘর্ম মুহুর্মুহুঃ, বিবর্ণ হইবে,
স্তম্ভিত প্রলয় সম ৩

gada gada — choked; bāṇī — words; mukhe — from mouth; bāhiribe — will come out, issue; kā̃pibe — will tremble; śarīra — body; mama — my; gharma — perspire; muhurmuhuḥ — repeatedly; bibarṇa ha·ibe — will turn pale; stambhita — stunned; pralaya — devastated; sama — as if
The words from my mouth will become choked. My body will tremble, perspire repeatedly and turn pale in color, and I will become stunned as if devastated.
নিষ্কপটে হেন, দশা কবে হঽবে,
নিরন্তর নাম গাঽব
আবেশে রহিয়া, দেহয়াত্রা করিঽ,
তোমার করুণা পাঽব ৪

nirantara nāma gā’ba
ābeśe rahiyā, dehayātrā kari’,
tomāra karuṇā pā’ba 4
niṣkapaṭe — free from duplicity, sincere; hena — such; daśā — a state; kabe — when; ha’be — will it be; nirantara — unceasingly; nāma — the holy names; gā’ba — I will sing; ābeśe — absorbed in; rahiyā — having remained; dehayātrā — body + having maintained [lit. having traversed]; tomāra — your; karuṇā — mercy; pā’ba — I shall get
When shall I attain such a sincere state that I will continuously sing the holy names? At that time, remaining absorbed in ecstasy and doing only what is necessary to maintain my body, I shall receive your mercy.
