সে জানে ভকতিরসসার

se jāne bhakati-rasasāra
gaurāṅgera madhura līlā, yā’ra karṇe prabeśilā,
hṛdaya nirmala bhela tā’ra 1
gaurāṅgera — of Śrī Gaurāṅga; du’ṭī — the two; pada — feet; yā’ra — whose; dhana — wealth; sampada — property; se — he or she; jāne — knows; bhakati — devotion; rasasāra — the mellows + essence; gaurāṅgera — of Śrī Gaurāṅga; madhura — sweet; līlā — pastimes; yā’ra — whose; karṇe — in ears; prabeśilā — entered; hṛdaya — heart; nirmala — pure; bhela — becomes; tā’ra — his or hers
That person for whom the two lotus feet of Śrī Gaurāṅga are his wealth and property knows the essence of bhakti-rasa. That person for whom the sweet pastimes of Gaurāṅga have entered the ears is pure in heart.
যে গৌরাঙ্গের নাম লয়, তাঽর হয় প্রেমোদয়,
তাঽরে মুইং যাই বলিহারি
গৌরাঙ্গগুণেতে ঝুরে, নিত্যলীলা তাঽরে স্ফুরে,
সেজন ভকতিঅধিকারী ২

tā’re muĩ yāi balihāri
gaurāṅga-guṇete jhure, nityalīlā tā’re sphure,
se-jana bhakati-adhikārī 2
ye — he who; gaurāṅgera — of Śrī Gaurāṅga; nāma — name; laya — takes; tā’ra — his; haya — becomes; premodaya — divine + arises; tā’re — to him; muĩ — I; yāi — go; balihāri — bravo excellent; gaurāṅga — Gaurāṅga; guṇete — in the qualities; jhure — eyes stream tears; nityalīlā — eternal + pastimes; tā’re — to him; sphure — manifests; se — that; jana — person; bhakati — pure devotion; adhikārī — qualification
Within one who takes Gaurāṅga’s holy names, prema arises. I heartily glorify such a person. To one whose eyes stream tears in appreciation of Gaurāṅga’s transcendental qualities, the Divine Couple’s eternal pastimes become manifest. Such a person is qualified for bhakti.
গৌরাঙ্গের সঙ্গিগণে, নিত্যসিদ্ধ করিঽ মানে,
সে যায় ব্রজেন্দ্রসুতপাশ
শ্রীগৌḓঅমণ্ডলভূমি, যেবা জানে চিন্তামণি,
তাঽর হয় ব্রজভূমে বাস ৩

se yāya brajendrasuta-pāśa
śrīgauḓamaṇḍala-bhūmi, yebā jāne cintāmaṇi,
tā’ra haya brajabhūme bāsa 3
gaurāṅgera — Gaurāṅga’s; saṅgigaṇe — associates; nityasiddha — eternally + perfected; kari’ māne — having regarded; se — he; yāya — goes; brajendrasuta — the son of the king of Vraja; pāśa — near; śrīgauḓamaṇḍala bhūmi — the land of Śrī Gauḓa-maṇḍala; yebā — he who; jāne — knows; cintāmaṇi — touchstone; tā’ra — his; haya — happends; brajabhūme — in the land of Vraja; bāsa — residence
One who reveres Gaurāṅga’s personal associates as eternally perfected souls goes to the transcendental abode of Vrajendra-suta (the son of the king of Vraja). One who knows the land of Śrī Gauḓa-maṇḍala to be spiritual touchstone achieves residence in the land of Vraja.
গৌরপ্রেমরসার্ণবে, সে তরঙ্গে যেবা ডুবে,
সে রাধামাধবঅন্তরঙ্গ
গ্ঢ়ে বা বনেতে থাকে, ‘হা গৌরাঙ্গঽ বঽলে ডাকে,
নরোত্তম মাগে তাঽর সঙ্গ ৪
gauraprema-rasārṇabe, se taraṅge yebā ḍube,
se rādhāmādhaba-antaraṅga
gṛhe bā banete thāke, ‘hā gaurāṅga’ ba’le ḍāke,
narottama māge tā’ra saṅga 4
gauraprema — love for Gaurāṅga; rasārṇabe — nectar + in the ocean; se — those; taraṅge — in the waves; yebā — he who; ḍube — plunges; se — he; rādhāmādhaba — Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava; antaraṅga — intimate associate; gṛhe — in the home (as a householder); bā — or; banete — in the forest (as a renunciant); thāke — he stays; hā gaurāṅga’ — “Hā Gaurāṅga”; ba’le — having said; ḍāke — he calls out; narottama — Narottama dāsa; māge — begs; tā’ra — his; saṅga — association
One who dives into the waves of the ocean of gaura-prema becomes a confidential associate of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava. Whether a person lives in his home as a householder or in the forest as a renunciant, if he exclaims, “Hā Gaurāṅga!” Narottama dāsa begs for his association.
