যেই জন নাহি লয়
তাঽরে যমরায়, ধঽরে লঽয়ে যায়,
নরকে ডুবায় তায় ১

nitāi gaura — Nitāi and Gaura; nāma — the names; ānandera — of bliss; dhāma — abode; yei — those who; jana — people; nāhi — not; laya — take; tā’re — to them; yamarāya — Yamarāja, the Lord of Death; dha’re — holds; la’ye — having taken; yāya — goes; narake — in hellish planets; ḍubāya — he plunges; tāya — them
The holy names of Nitāi and Gaura are the abode of bliss. Yama Mahārāja captures those who never utter these names and plunges them into the hellish planets.
তুলসীর হার, না পরে যে ছার,
যমালয়ে বাস তাঽর
তিলক ধারণ, না করে যেজন,
ব্ড়্থায় জনম তাঽর ২

tilaka dhāraṇa, nā kare ye-jana,

tulasīra — of Tulsī; hāra — necklace; nā — not; pare — wears; ye — who; chāra — contemptible person; yamālaye — in the place of Yamarāja; bāsa — residence; tā’ra — his; tilaka — Tilaka; dhāraṇa — wears; nā — not; kare — does; ye — who; jana — person; bṛthāya — in vain; janama — birth; tā’ra — his
The contemptible person who does not wear a necklace of tulasī beads has residence in the abode of Yama, and the person who never wears tilaka has a life that goes in vain.
না লয় হরিনাম, বিধি তাঽরে বাম,
পামর পাষণ্ডমতি
বৈষ্ণবসেবন, না করে যেজন,
কি হঽবে তাহার গতি ৩

pāmara pāṣaṇḍamati
baiṣṇaba-sebana, nā kare ye-jana,
ki ha’be tāhāra gati 3
nā — not; laya — takes; harināma — the names of Hari; bidhi — fate; tā’re — to him; bāma — antipathetic; pāmara — base, condemned; pāṣaṇḍamati — atheistic + mentality; baiṣṇaba — [to] the Vaiṣṇavas; sebana — performs service; nā — not; kare — who does; ye — that; jana — person; ki — what; ha’be — will be; tāhāra — his; gati — destiny
Fate is apathetic toward one who never chants harināma. Such a person is most base and has an atheistic mentality. What will be the destiny of one who does not perform service to the Vaiṣṇavas?
গুরুমন্ত্র সার, কর এইবার,
ব্রজেতে হইবে বাস
তমোগুণ যাঽবে, সত্ত্বগুণ পাঽবে,
হইবে ক্ড়্ষ্ণের দাস ৪
gurumantra sāra, kara eibāra,
brajete ha·ibe bāsa
tamoguṇa yā’be, sattba-guṇa pā’be,
ha·ibe kṛṣṇera dāsa 4
gurumantra — the dīkṣā-mantras given by śrī guru or also specifically the ‘guru-mantra’; sāra — the essence; kara — do; eibāra — now, this time, this life; brajete — in Vraja; ha·ibe — will be; bāsa — residence; tamoguṇa — the mode of ignorance; yā’be — will go; sattba guṇa — the mode of goodness; pā’be — will get; ha·ibe — you will become; kṛṣṇera — Kṛṣṇa’s; dāsa — servant
The dīkṣā-mantras given by śrī guru are the essence of everything. Chant them now, in this life, and you will attain residence in Vraja. The mode of ignorance will leave you, the mode of goodness will enter you, and you will become a servant of Kṛṣṇa.
এ দাস লোচন, বলে অনুক্ষণ,
(নিতাই) গৌরগুণ গাও সুখে
এই রসে যাঽর, রতি না হইল,
চূণকালি তাঽর মুখে ৫

e — this; dāsa locana — Locana dāsa; bale — says; anukṣaṇa — always; (nitāi) — Nitāi; gauraguṇa — Gaura + qualities; gāo — sing; sukhe — happily; ei — this; rase — in nectar; yā’ra — whose; rati — deep attachment; nā — not; ha·ila — happened; cūṇa kāli — lime-paste and soot (fig.) disrepute, disgrace, infamy; tā’ra — his; mukhe — on the face
This Locana dāsa always tells everyone to sing the glories of Śrī Śrī Gaura-Nitāi in great happiness. Those who have no attachment for this nectar have lime-paste and soot smeared on their faces [in disgrace].
