The river of gaura-rasa came as a bank of rain clouds, flooding the land of Gauḓa with a shower of prema.

নিত্যানন্দরায় তাহে মারুত সহায়

যাংহা নাহি প্রেমব্ড়্ষ্টি, তাংহা লঽয়ে যায় ২

Nityānanda Rāya assisted as the wind, blowing that shower of prema where it did not fall.

হুḓ হুḓশব্দে আইল শ্রীঅদ্বৈতচন্দ্র

জলরসধারা তাহে রায়রামানন্দ ৩

Śrī Advaita-candra came as thunderclaps and Rāmānanda Rāya came as rain, letting loose a stream of rasa.

চৌষট্টি মহান্ত আইল মেঘে শোভা করিঽ

শ্রীরূপসনাতন তাহে হইল বিজুরি ৪

cauṣaṭṭi mahānta āila meghe śobhā kari’

The sixty-four great saints came, beautifying that cloud bank, and Śrī Rūpa-Sanātana flashed as its lightning.

ক্ড়্ষ্ণদাস কবিরাজ রসের ভাণ্ডারী

যতনে রাখিল প্রেম হেমকুম্ভ ভরিঽ ৫

kṛṣṇadāsa kabirāja rasera bhāṇḍārī

yatane rākhila prema hemakumbha bhari’ 5

kṛṣṇadāsa kabirājaKṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja; raseraof rasa; bhāṇḍārīstorekeeper; yatanecarefully; rākhilakept; premathe divine love; hemakumbhagolden + pot; bhari’having filled

Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja became the storekeeper of that rasa. He collected that prema and kept it carefully in a golden pot.

এবে সেই প্রেম লঽয়ে জগজনে দিল

এদাস লোচনভাগ্যে বিন্দু না মিলিল ৬

ebe sei prema la’ye jagajane dila

e-dāsa locana-bhāgye bindu nā milila 6

They distributed this prema to the people of the world, but due to his misfortune, this Locana dāsa did not receive a single drop.
