যমুনাপুলিনে, কদম্বকাননে,
কি হেরিনু সখি! আজ
শ্যাম বংশীধারী, মণিমঞ্চোপরি,
করে লীলা রসরাজ ১

kare līlā rasarāja 1
yamunā — Yamunā; puline — on the banks; kadamba — kadamba trees; kānane — in a forest; ki — what; herinu — I have seen; sakhi — O friend; āja — today; śyāma — blackish; baṁśīdhārī — flute player; maṇimañcopari — jewelled + platform + atop; kare — performs; līlā — pastimes; rasarāja — the king of all divine mellows
O sakhī! What have I seen today? In a kadamba grove on the banks of the Yamunā, a beautiful blackish flute player, seated upon a jeweled platform, is performing His pastimes as the king of all rasa.

kṛṣṇakeli sudhā-prasrabaṇa
aṣṭadalopari, śrīrādhā śrīhari,
aṣṭasakhī parijana 2
kṛṣṇakeli — Śrī Kṛṣṇa + amorous pastimes; sudhā — nectar; prasrabaṇa — fountain, waterfall, oozing; aṣṭadalopari — eight + petals + upon; śrīrādhā śrīhari — Śrī Rādhā and Śrī Hari; aṣṭasakhī — the eight sakhīs; parijana — attendants
The amorous pastimes of Śrī Kṛṣṇa are just like a waterfall of nectar. Situated upon the eight petals [of the jeweled throne] are Śrī Rādhā and Śrī Hari, surrounded by Their attendants, the eight principal sakhīs.
সুগীতনর্তনে, সব সখীগণে,
তুষিছে যুগলধনে
ক্ড়্ষ্ণলীলা হেরিঽ, প্রক্ড়্তি সুন্দরী,
বিস্তারিছে শোভা বনে ৩
sugīta-nartane, saba sakhīgaṇe,
tuṣiche yugaladhane
kṛṣṇalīlā heri’, prakṛti sundarī,
bistāriche śobhā bane 3
sugīta nartane — by (-e) sweet (su-) songs (gīt) and graceful (su-) dancing (nartan); saba — all; sakhīgaṇe — by the sakhīs; tuṣiche — they are satisfying; yugaladhane — the Divine Couple + the treasured; kṛṣṇalīlā — Kṛṣṇa + pastimes; heri’ — having beheld; prakṛti — the spiritual energy; sundarī — beautiful; bistāriche — is expanding; śobhā — the splendor; bane — of the forest
By singing sweet songs and dancing gracefully, all the sakhīs satisfy their treasured Divine Couple. Beholding Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes, the beautiful spiritual energy expands the splendor of the Vṛndāvana forest.
ঘরে না যাইব, বনে প্রবেশিব,
ও লীলারসের তরে
ত্যজিঽ কুললাজ, ভজ ব্রজরাজ,
বিনোদ মিনতি করেঽ ৪
ghare nā yāiba, bane prabeśiba,
o līlā-rasera tare
tyaji’ kulalāja, bhaja brajarāja,
binoda minati kare’ 4
ghare — to home; nā — not; yāiba — I will go; bane — in the forest; prabeśiba — I will enter; o — that; līlā rasera — the nectar of pastimes; tare — for; tyaji’ — having renounced; kulalāja — family, society + shyness; bhaja — worship (imperative); brajarāja — the king of Vraja; binoda — Bhaktivinoda; minati kare’ — humbly entreats
To relish the nectar of such pastimes, I will not go home but will enter the forest instead. Renouncing all shyness due to fear of family and society, just worship the king of Vraja. This is the humble entreaty of Bhaktivinoda.
