akrodha — free from anger; paramānanda — supreme + bliss; nityānanda — Nityānanda Prabhu; rāya — noble; abhimāna — false ego; śūnya — devoid; nitāi — Nitāi; nagare — throughout the town; beḓāya — wanders
The noble Nityānanda Prabhu, the personification of supreme transcendental bliss, is never angry. Devoid of all false ego, He wanders throughout the town.
অধম পতিত জীবের দ্বারে দ্বারে গিয়া
হরিনামমহামন্ত্র দিচ্ছেন বিলাইয়া ২
adhama patita jībera dbāre dbāre giyā
harināma-mahāmantra dicchena bilāiyā 2
adhama — lowly; patita — fallen; jībera — of souls; dbāre dbāre — from door to door; giyā — having gone; harināma mahāmantra — the hare kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra; dicchena — he is giving; bilāiyā — having distributed
Going from door to door among the residences of lowly and fallen souls, He freely distributes the harināma mahā-mantra.
যাঽরে দেখে তাঽরে কহে দন্তে ৎড়্ণ ধরিঽ
‘আমারে কিনিয়া লহ, বল গৌরহরি ৩ঽ
এত বলিঽ নিত্যানন্দ ভূমে গḓইঽ যায়
সোনার পর্বত যেন ধূলাতে লোটায় ৪
yā’re dekhe tā’re kahe dante tṛṇa dhari’
‘āmāre kiniyā laha, bala gaurahari 3’
eta bali’ nityānanda bhūme gaḓi’ yāya
sonāra parbata yena dhūlāte loṭāya 4
yā’re — to whom; dekhe — he sees; tā’re — to them; kahe — he says; dante — in teeth; tṛṇa — straw; dhari’ — having held; āmāre — to me; kiniyā laha — purtchase for yourself [lit. having purchased, take]; bala — call out; gaurahari — Gaurahari.; eta — this; bali’ — having spoken; nityānanda — Nityānanda; bhūme — on the ground; gaḓi’ yāya — rolls; sonāra — golden; parbata — mountain; yena — just like; dhūlāte — in the dust; loṭāya — tumbles
Holding a straw in His teeth, He calls out to whomever He sees, “Please purchase Me by calling out ‘Gaurahari!’ ” Speaking in this way, Nityānanda Prabhu rolls on the ground, appearing like a golden mountain tumbling in the dust.
হেন অবতারে যাঽর রতি না জন্মিল
লোচন বলে সেই পাপী এল আর গেল ৫
hena abatāre yā’ra rati nā janmila
locana bale sei pāpī ela āra gela 5
hena — such; abatāre — for an avatār; yā’ra — whose; rati — attachment; nā — not janmilô; locana — Locana; bale — says; sei — that; pāpī — sinner; ela — came; āra — and; gela — went
Locana dāsa says, “That sinful person who has not experienced the awakening of attachment for such an avatāra simply comes and goes [in the endless cycle of birth and death].”
