কত নিদ্রা যাও মায়াপিশাচীর কোলে ১

jība — O souls; jāga — wake up; jība — O souls; jāga — wake up; gorācā̃da — the moon-like Gaura; bale — says; kata — how much; nidrā yāo — you sleep; māyā — Māyā; piśācīra — of the witch; kole — in the lap
“Wake up, sleeping souls! Wake up, sleeping souls!” calls Śrī Gaura-candra. “How long will you sleep in the lap of the witch Māyā?
ভজিব বলিয়া এসেঽ সংসারভিতরে
ভুলিয়া রহিলে তুমি অবিদ্যার ভরে ২
bhajiba baliyā ese’ saṁsāra-bhitare
bhuliyā rahile tumi abidyāra bhare 2
bhajiba — you will worship; baliyā — having said; ese’ — having come; saṁsāra — material world; bhitare — into; bhuliyā — having forgotten; rahile — remained; tumi — you; abidyāra — by ignorance; bhare — burdened
“You came into this material world saying you will worship the Lord, but, having forgotten this, you remain burdened by ignorance.
তোমারে লইতে আমি হইনু অবতার
আমি বিনা বন্ধু আর কে আছে তোমার ৩
tomāre la·ite āmi ha·inu abatāra
āmi binā bandhu āra ke āche tomāra 3
tomāre — to you; la·ite — to take; āmi — I; ha·inu — have; abatāra — descended; āmi — I; binā — without; bandhu — friend; āra — else; ke — who; āche — is there; tomāra — yours
“It is only to deliver you that I have descended. Who but Me is your friend?
এনেছি ওষধি মায়া নাশিবার লাগিঽ
হরিনামমহামন্ত্র লও তুমি মাগিঽ ৪
enechi oṣadhi māyā nāśibāra lāgi’
harināma-mahāmantra lao tumi māgi’ 4
enechi — I brought; oṣadhi — medicine; māyā — illusion; nāśibāra — of destroying; lāgi’ — for the purpose; harināma mahāmantra — the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahāmantra; lao — take; tumi — you; māgi’ — I beg
“I have brought the medicine that will destroy [the disease of] māyā. Take these holy names, I beg you!”
ভকতিবিনোদ প্রভুচরণে পḓইয়া
সেই হরিনামমন্ত্র লইল মাগিয়া ৫
bhakatibinoda prabhu-caraṇe paḓiyā
sei harināma-mantra la·ila māgiyā 5
bhakatibinoda — Bhaktivinoda; prabhu — the Lord; caraṇe — at the feet; paḓiyā — having fallen; sei — that; harināma mantra — Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra; la·ila — took; māgiyā — having begged
Falling at the lotus feet of Śrīman Mahāprabhu, Bhaktivinoda has begged for and accepted this harināma-mantra.
