Millions of lovely cowherd damsels are unable to keep Mādhava’s attention, despite their great endeavor to do so.
বেণুগীতে ডাকে রাধিকানাম
‘এস এস রাধে!ঽ ডাকয়ে শ্যাম ২
beṇugīte ḍāke rādhikā-nāma
‘esa esa rādhe!’ ḍākaye śyāma 2
beṇugīte — the veṇu flute + by songs; ḍāke — calls; rādhikā — Śrīmatī Rādhikā; nāma — name; esa esa — come, come; rādhe — O Rādhā; ḍākaye — calls; śyāma — Śrī Śyāmasundara Kṛṣṇa
The flute song calls the name of Rādhikā. “Come here, come here, Rādhe!” petitions Śyāma.
ভাঙ্গিয়া শ্রীরাস মণ্ডল তবে
রাধাঅন্বেষণে চলয়ে যবে ৩
bhāṅgiyā śrīrāsa- maṇḍala tabe

When He goes in search of Śrī Rādhā, the rāsa dance comes to a halt.
‘দেখা দিয়া রাধে! রাখহ প্রাণ!ঽ
বলিয়া কান্দয়ে কাননে কান ৪
‘dekhā diyā rādhe! rākhaha prāṇa!’
baliyā kā̃daye kānane kāna 4
dekhā diyā — having given sight, shown; rādhe — O Rādhā; rākhaha — save; prāṇa — life; baliyā — having said; kā̃daye — cries; kānane — in the forest; kāna — [a nickname for Kṛṣṇa]
Exclaiming, “O Rādha, please save My life by giving Me Your darśana!” Kāna weeps in the forest.
নির্জনকাননে রাধারে ধরিঽ
মিলিয়া পরাণ জুḓআয় হরি ৫
nirjana-kānane rādhāre dhari’
miliyā parāṇa juḓāya hari 5
nirjana — secluded; kānane — in a grove; rādhāre — to Śrī Rādhā; dhari’ — having held; miliyā — having met; parāṇa — life; juḓāya — soothed, cooled, consoled; hari — Śrī Hari
Embracing Śrī Rādhā and reconciling with Her in a secluded grove, Śrī Hari revives His life.
বলে, ‘তুংহু বিনা কাহার রাস ?
তুংহু লাগিঽ মোর বরজ বাস ৬ঽ
এহেন রাধিকা চরণতলে
ভকতিবিনোদ কান্দিয়া বলে ৭
bale, ‘tũhu binā kāhāra rāsa ?
tũhu lāgi’ mora baraja bāsa 6’
ehena rādhikā- caraṇa-tale
bhakatibinoda kā̃diyā bale 7
bale — He says; tũhu — You; binā — without; kāhāra — where; rāsa — the performance of rāsa; tũhu — You; lāgi’ — for; mora — My; baraja bāsa — residence in Vraja.; ehena — this + such; rādhikā — Rādhikā; caraṇa — feet; tale — at the soles; bhakatibinoda — Bhaktivinoda; kā̃diyā — having cried; bale — says
He says, “Without You, what is the question of performing rāsa? Only because of You do I live in Vraja.” Weeping at the lotus feet of this Rādhikā, Bhaktivinoda says:
“তুয়া গণমাঝে আমারে গণিঽ
কিঙ্করী করিয়া রাখ আপনি ৮”
“tuyā gaṇa-mājhe āmāre gaṇi’
kiṅkarī kariyā rākha āpani 8”
tuyā — Your; gaṇa — associates; mājhe — in the midst; āmāre — to me; gaṇi’ — having counted; kiṅkarī — maidservant; kariyā — having made; rākha — keep (imperative); āpani — Your own
“Count me among Your personal associates and keep me as Your maidservant.”
