ব্ড়্ন্দাবনবাসী যত বৈষ্ণবের গণ
প্রথমে বন্দনা করি সবার চরণ ১
bṛndābanabāsī yata baiṣṇabera gaṇa
prathame bandanā kari sabāra caraṇa 1
bṛndābanabāsī — residents of Vṛndāvana; baiṣṇabera gaṇa — Vaiṣṇavas; prathame — firstly; bandanā kari — I offer obeisances, prayers, glorifications; sabāra — all their; caraṇa — feet
First of all, I offer glorification at the feet of all the Vaiṣṇavas who are residents of Vṛndāvana.
নীলাচলবাসী যত মহাপ্রভুর গণ
ভূমিতে পḓইয়া বন্দো সভার চরণ ২
nīlācalabāsī yata mahāprabhura gaṇa
bhūmite paḓiyā bando sabhāra caraṇa 2
nīlācalabāsī — residents of Nīlācala; mahāprabhura — Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s; gaṇa — associates; bhūmite — on the ground; paḓiyā — having fallen; bando — I pray; sabhāra — all their; caraṇa — feet
Falling to the ground [in prostration], I pray to the feet of Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s associates who are residents of Nīlācala.
নবদ্বীপবাসী যত মহাপ্রভুর ভক্ত
সভার চরণ বন্দো হয়া অনুরক্ত ৩
nabadbīpabāsī yata mahāprabhura bhakta
sabhāra caraṇa bando hayā anurakta 3
nabadbīpabāsī — residence of Navadvīp; mahāprabhura — Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s; bhakta — devotees; sabhāra — all their; caraṇa — feet; bando — I pray; hayā — becoming [filled with]; anurakta — loving attachment
Becoming filled with loving attachment, I submit my glorification at the feet of all Mahāprabhu’s devotees who are residents of Navadvīpa.
মহাপ্রভুর ভক্ত যত গৌḓঅদেশে স্থিতি
সভার চরণ বন্দো করিয়া প্রণতি ৪
mahāprabhura bhakta yata gauḓadeśe sthiti
sabhāra caraṇa bando kariyā praṇati 4
mahāprabhura — Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s; bhakta — devotees; gauḓadeśe — in Gauḓa-deśa (Bengal); sthiti — situated; sabhāra — all their; caraṇa — feet; bando — I pray; kariyā praṇati — having bowed down in obeisance
Bowing down in obeisance, I pray to the feet of all Mahāprabhu’s devotees who are situated in Gauḓa-deśa.
যেদেশে যেদেশে বৈসে গৌরাঙ্গের গণ
ঊর্ধ্ববাহু করিঽ বন্দো সবার চরণ ৫
ye-deśe ye-deśe baise gaurāṅgera gaṇa
ūrdhbabāhu kari’ bando sabāra caraṇa 5
ye deśe — in whichever country; ye deśe — in whichever country; baise — they reside; gaurāṅgera gaṇa — Gaurāṅga’s associates; ūrdhbabāhu — upraised + arms; kari’ — having done; bando — I offer prayers; sabāra — all their; caraṇa — feet
Raising my arms, I offer glorification at the feet of all Gaurāṅga’s associates, in whichever country they may reside.
হয়াছেন হইবেন প্রভুর যত দাস
সভার চরণ বন্দো দন্তে করিঽ ঘাস ৬
hayāchena ha·ibena prabhura yata dāsa
sabhāra caraṇa bando dante kari’ ghāsa 6
hayāchena — that were; ha·ibena — that will be; prabhura — Mahāprabhu’s; dāsa — servants; sabhāra — all their; caraṇa — feet; bando — I glorify; dante — in teeth; kari’ ghāsa — holding straw
Holding a straw between my teeth, I submit my glorification at the feet of all the servants of Mahāprabhu who ever were or will be.
ব্রহ্মাণ্ড তারিতে শক্তি ধরে জনে জনে
এ বেদপুরাণে গুণ গায় যেবা শুনে ৭
brahmāṇḍa tārite śakti dhare jane jane
e beda-purāṇe guṇa gāya yebā śune 7
brahmāṇḍa — the entire universe; tārite — to deliver; śakti — power; dhare — they hold; jane jane — in each of them; e — this; beda purāṇe — by the Vedas and Purāṇas; guṇa — qualities; gāya — sing; yebā — anyone who; śune — listens
Each of His devotees possesses the power to deliver the entire universe. The Vedas and Purāṇas glorify this divine quality of the Vaiṣṇava to all willing to listen.
মহাপ্রভুর গণ সব পতিতপাবন
তাই লোভে মুইং পাপী লইনু শরণ ৮
mahāprabhura gaṇa saba patitapābana
tāi lobhe muĩ pāpī la·inu śaraṇa 8
mahāprabhura — Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s; gaṇa — associates; saba — all; patitapābana — saviors of the fallen; tāi — therefore; lobhe — fervently; muĩ — I; pāpī — sinner; la·inu — have taken; śaraṇa — shelter
All the associates of Mahāprabhu are saviors of the fallen, so I, a sinner, fervently take shelter of them.
বন্দনা করিতে মুইং কত শক্তি ধরি
তমোবুদ্ধিদোষে মুইং দম্ভ মাত্র করি ৯
bandanā karite muĩ kata śakti dhari
tamo-buddhi-doṣe muĩ dambha mātra kari 9
bandanā karite — to glorify; muĩ — I; kata — how much; śakti — power; dhari — I hold; tamo — ignorant; buddhi — intelligence; doṣe — by fault; muĩ — I; dambha — conceit; mātra — only; kari — I do
What power do I have to glorify them? Afflicted by ignorance, I only exhibit conceit.
তথাপি মূকের ভাগ্য মনের উল্লাস
দোষ ক্ষমিঽ মোঅধমে কর নিজ দাস ১০
tathāpi mūkera bhāgya manera ullāsa
doṣa kṣami’ mo-adhame kara nija dāsa 10
tathāpi — although; mūkera — of dumbness; bhāgya — fortune; manera — heart’s; ullāsa — joy; doṣa — faults; kṣami’ — forgiving; mo — me; adhame — to the fallen soul; kara — make; nija — own; dāsa — servant
Yet, even one who is dumb [such as me] is greatly fortunate and joyful at heart [to have an opportunity to glorify them]. [O Vaiṣṇavas,] forgive the faults of this fallen soul and make me your own servant.
সর্ববাঞ্ছা সিদ্ধি হয়, যমবন্ধছুটে
জগতে দুর্ল্লভ হয়া প্রেমধন লুটে ১১
sarbabāñchā siddhi haya, yama-bandha-chuṭe
jagate durllabha hayā premadhana luṭe 11
sarbabāñchā — all + desires; siddhi — perfected; haya — are; yama — the lord of death; bandha — bondages; chuṭe — released; jagate — in world; durllabha — rare; hayā — which is [lit. having become]; premadhana — transcendental love + treasure; luṭe — plundered
[By the Vaiṣṇavas’ mercy] one’s desires are perfected, the fetters of Yama (the lord of death) are quickly released, and the treasure of prema, which is rare within this world, is plundered [and distributed].
মনের বাসনা পূর্ণ অচিরাতে হয়
দেবকীনন্দন দাস এই লোভে কয় ১২
manera bāsanā pūrṇa acirāte haya
debakīnandana dāsa ei lobhe kaya 12
manera — the heart’s; bāsanā — desires; pūrṇa — fulfilled; acirāte — without delay; haya — are; debakīnandana dāsa — Śrī Devakīnandan dās; ei — this; lobhe — with desire; kaya — utters
They quickly fulfill the heart’s longings. With this in mind, Devakīnandana utters this vaiṣṇava-vandanā.
