Our Śrī Gaurahari came chanting, “Hari! Hari!”
এল রে গৌরাঙ্গচান্দ প্রেমে এলোথেলো
নিতাইঅদ্বৈতসঙ্গে গোদ্রুমে পশিল ১
ela re gaurāṅgacā̃da preme elo-thelo
nitāi-adbaita-saṅge godrume paśila 1
ela — came; re — oh; gaurāṅgacā̃da — the moon-like Gaurāṅga; preme — in love; elo thelo — disheveled; nitāi — Nitāi; adbaita — Advaita Ācārya; saṅge — with; godrume — in Godruma; paśila — entered
Śrī Gaurāṅga-cā̃da came looking greatly disheveled, as if mad, due to prema. Along with Nityānanda Prabhu and Advaita Ācārya, He entered the land of Godruma.
সঙ্কীর্তনরসে মেতে নাম বিলাইল
নামের হাটে এসে প্রেমে জগৎ ভাসাইল ২
saṅkīrtana-rase mete nāma bilāila
nāmera hāṭe ese preme jagat bhāsāila 2
saṅkīrtana — congregation chanting; rase — in the nectar; mete — intoxicated; nāma — the holy name; bilāila — distributed; nāmera — of the holy name; hāṭe — at the marketplace; ese — having come; preme — in divine love; jagat — the world; bhāsāila — inundated
Intoxicated by saṅkīrtana-rasa, He freely distributed the holy name to everyone. He arrived at the marketplace of the holy name and inundated the entire universe with prema.
গোদ্রুমবাসীর আজ দুঃখ দূরে গেল
ভক্তব্ড়্ন্দসঙ্গে আসিঽ হাট জাগাইল ৩
godrumabāsīra āja duḥkha dūre gela
bhaktabṛnda-saṅge āsi’ hāṭa jāgāila 3
godrumabāsīra — of the residents of Godruma; āja — today; duḥkha — miseries; dūre — far away; gela — gone; bhaktabṛnda — devotees + multitude; saṅge — with; āsi’ — having come; hāṭa — marketplace; jāgāila — opened (lit. caused the awakening)
Today, all miseries of the residents of Godruma have gone away because Śrī Gaurāṅga, having come with all His devotees, opened the marketplace of the holy name.
নদীয়া ভ্রমিতে গোরা এল নামের হাটে
গৌর এল হাটে, সঙ্গে নিতাই এল হাটে ৪
nadīyā bhramite gorā ela nāmera hāṭe
gaura ela hāṭe, saṅge nitāi ela hāṭe 4
nadīyā — Nadīyā; bhramite — wandering; gorā — Gaura; ela — came; nāmera — of the holy name; hāṭe — in the marketplace; gaura — Gaura; ela — came; hāṭe — in the marketplace; saṅge — accompanied by; nitāi — Nitāi; ela — came; hāṭe — in the marketplace
Wandering all over the land of Nadīyā, Śrī Gaurāṅga came to the marketplace of the holy name. Śrī Gaura came to the marketplace along with Nitāi.
নাচে মাতোয়ারা নিতাই গোদ্রুমের মাঠে
জগৎ মাতায় নিতাই প্রেমের মালসাটে ৫
nāce mātoyārā nitāi godrumera māṭhe
jagat mātāya nitāi premera mālasāṭe 5
nāce — dances; mātoyārā — maddened; nitāi — Nitāi; godrumera — of Godruma; māṭhe — in the fields; jagat — the universe; mātāya — overwhelms; nitāi — Nitāi; premera — of love
Maddened with ecstasy, Nitāi dances in the fields of Godruma. Due to prema, Nitāi moves His powerful arms like a challenging wrestler and thus overwhelms the universe in rapture.

অদ্বৈতাদি ভক্তব্ড়্ন্দ নাচে ঘাটে ঘাটে
পলায় দুরন্ত কলি পḓইয়া বিভ্রাটে ৬

palāya duranta kali paḓiyā bibhrāṭe 6
(torā — all of you; dekhe — having seen; yāre) — go + oh; adbaitādi — Advaita Ācārya + and so on; bhaktabṛnda — devotees + multitude; nāce — dances; ghāṭe ghāṭe — from ghāṭa to ghāṭa (a ghāṭa is a platform with stairs leading to a river or pond used for bathing, washing cloth etc.); palāya — flees, escapes; duranta — powerful, ferocious; kali — Kali Mahārāja; paḓiyā — having fallen; bibhrāṭe — in danger, difficulty, trouble, turmoil
All of you come and see! The Vaiṣṇavas, headed by Advaita Ācārya, are dancing along the banks of the Gaṅgā, going from one ghāṭa to the next. At such a sight, the wicked personality Kali falls into great distress and runs for his life.
কি সুখে ভাসিল জীব গোরাচান্দের নাটে
দেখিয়া শুনিয়া পাষণ্ডীর বুক ফাটে ৭
ki sukhe bhāsila jība gorācā̃dera nāṭe
dekhiyā śuniyā pāṣaṇḍīra buka phāṭe 7
ki — what; sukhe — in happiness; bhāsila — floated; jība — souls; gorācā̃dera — the moon-like Gaura’s; nāṭe — by dancing; dekhiyā — having seen; śuniyā — having heard; pāṣaṇḍīra — atheists’; buka — chest (fig.) heart; phāṭe — breaks, splits, explodes, bursts
Oh, in what indescribable happiness did all the jīvas float while Śrī Gaura-candra was dancing! By seeing and hearing such pastimes, the hearts of the atheists shatter.
