jaya — all glories; jaya — all glories; harināma — the names of Hari; cidānandāmṛta — divine knowledge + bliss + nectar; dhāma — abode; paratattba — supreme + truth; akṣara — syllable; ākāra — form, appearance; nija — Your own; jane — to people (devotees); kṛpā kari’ — out of mercy; nāmarūpe — names + in the form; abatari’ — having descended; jībe — to living beings; dayā karile — showed mercy; apāra — shoreless, unlimited, boundless, endless, vast, immense
All glories, all glories to harināma, the abode of the nectar of divine knowledge and bliss and the Supreme Truth in the form of syllables. Out of mercy for His devotees, He descended in the form of His names and thus showed vast compassion to all the living beings.
জয় হরিক্ড়্ষ্ণনাম, জগজন সুবিশ্রাম,
সর্বজনমানসরঞ্জন
মুনিব্ড়্ন্দ নিরন্তর, যে নামের সমাদর,
করিঽ গায় ভরিয়া বদন ২
jaya hari-kṛṣṇa-nāma, jagajana subiśrāma,
sarbajana-mānasa-rañjana
munibṛnda nirantara, ye nāmera samādara,
kari’ gāya bhariyā badana 2
jaya — all glories; hari — Hari; kṛṣṇa — Kṛṣṇa; nāma — names; jagajana — world + people; subiśrāma — sublime repose; sarbajana — all + people; mānasa — minds; rañjana — delight; munibṛnda — sages + hosts; nirantara — ceaselessly, without break; ye — who; nāmera — of the names; samādara — passionate love or fondness (for), very warm, respectful reception and careful treatment; kari’ gāya — having sung; bhariyā — having filled; badana — mouths
All glories to the holy names of Hari and Kṛṣṇa, which are the sublime shelter for the living entities of the world and which delight the minds of all. Hosts of great sages, who have true honor for these names, eternally sing them, filling their mouths [with nāma].
ওহে ক্ড়্ষ্ণনামাক্ষর, তুমি সর্বশক্তিধর,
জীবের কল্যাণবিতরণে
তোমা বিনা ভবসিন্ধু, উদ্ধারিতে নাহি বন্ধু,
আসিয়াছ জীবৌদ্ধারণে ৩

jībera kalyāṇa-bitaraṇe
tomā binā bhabasindhu, uddhārite nāhi bandhu,
āsiyācha jība-uddhāraṇe 3
ohe — O; kṛṣṇanāmākṣara — Kṛṣṇa + name + syllables; tumi — You; sarbaśaktidhara — all + power + (sfx.) bearing, carrying, holding; jībera — the living entity’s; kalyāṇa — welfare, well-being, good, prosperity; bitaraṇe — distribute; tomā — You; binā — without; bhabasindhu — material existence + ocean; uddhārite — to deliver; nāhi — no; bandhu — friend; āsiyācha — You have come; jība — living entities; uddhāraṇe — for deliverance
O syllables of Kṛṣṇa’s name, You possess all powers to bestow auspiciousness upon the living beings. Without You, there is no other friend to deliver us from the ocean of material existence. Indeed, You have come to deliver all jīvas.
আছে তাপ জীবে যত, তুমি সব কর হত,
হেলায় তোমারে একবার
ডাকে যদি কোন জন, হঽয়ে দীন অকিঞ্চন,
নাহি দেখিঽ অন্য প্রতিকার ৪
āche tāpa jībe yata, tumi saba kara hata,
helāya tomāre ekabāra
ḍāke yadi kona jana, ha’ye dīna akiñcana,
nāhi dekhi’ anya pratikāra 4
āche — that are; tāpa — heat, anger, sorrow, sorrow, grief, affliction, suffering; jībe — to the living entity; yata — whatever; tumi — You; saba — all; kara hata — dispel; helāya — with ease, without effort / through negligence or carelessness; tomāre — to You; ekabāra — one + time; ḍāke — calls; yadi — if; kona — some; jana — person; ha’ye — having become; dīna — poor, humble; akiñcana — insignificant; nāhi — not; dekhi’ — having seen; anya — other; pratikāra — remedy
You dispel whatever misery afflicts the jīva, if he, feeling himself poor and insignificant and seeing no other remedy, calls Your name one time, even out of impulse.
তব স্বল্পস্ফূর্তি পায়, উগ্রতাপ দূরে যায়,
লিঙ্গভঙ্গ হয় অনায়াসে
ভকতিবিনোদ কয়, জয় হরিনাম জয়,
পঽḓএ থাকি তুয়া পদআশে ৫
taba sbalpasphūrti pāya, ugratāpa dūre yāya,
liṅga-bhaṅga haya anāyāse
bhakatibinoda kaya, jaya harināma jaya,
pa’ḓe thāki tuyā pada-āśe 5
taba — Your; sbalpasphūrti — only a little (momentary) + vision; pāya — obtains; ugratāpa — terrible, harsh + heat, anger, sorrow, sorrow, grief, affliction, suffering; dūre — far away; yāya — goes; liṅga — subtle body; bhaṅga — dissolution; haya — happens; anāyāse — easily; bhakatibinoda — Bhaktivinoda; kaya — says; jaya — all glories; harināma — holy names of Hari; jaya — all glories; pa’ḓe — having fallen; thāki — I stay; tuyā — Your; pada — feet; āśe — with the desire
If one obtains even a momentary vision of You, then all sorts of terrible miseries disappear, and one’s gross and subtle bodies are easily destroyed. Bhaktivinoda says, “All glories, all glories to the holy names of Śrī Hari! I prostrate myself in hopes of attaining Your lotus feet.”
