প্রপঞ্চে পḓইয়া, অগতি হইয়া,
না দেখিঽ উপায় আর
অগতির গতি, চরণে শরণ,
তোমায় করিনু সার ১

hari — Hari; he — O; prapañce — (pāñch bhautika jagate) in illusion, māyā, worldly life (in the material world of five elements [namely, earth, water, fire, air and either]); paḓiyā — having fallen; agati — (asatkṛta) helpless (neglected, ignored); ha·iyā — having become; nā — not; dekhi’ — having seen; upāya — means to relieve or help, solace; āra — other; agatira — for the helpless; gati — resort; caraṇe — of feet; śaraṇa — shelter; tomāya — to You; karinu — I have made; sāra — essence, sole object
O Hari! Having fallen into the material world of five elements and become helpless, I see no solace other than the shelter of Your feet, for You are the resort of the helpless. I have made You my all in all.
করম গেয়ান, কিছু নাহি মোর,
সাধনভজন নাই
তুমি ক্ড়্পাময়, আমি তঽ কাঙ্গাল,
অহৈতুকী ক্ড়্পা চাই ২

karama — good works; geyāna — (jñān) knowledge; kichu — any; nāhi — not; mora — mine (I have); sādhana — religious regulation; bhajana — devotional service; nāi — not; tumi — You; kṛpāmaya — merciful, benevolent; āmi — I; ta’ — indeed; kāṅgāla — (ati dīn) poor, destitute, a beggar (extremely fallen); ahaitukī — (yogyatā apekṣā nā kôriyā) (hetu bā konô prakār abhisandhi rahitā GM) causeless (having not cared for worthiness or eligibility) (without cause or any kind of motive); kṛpā — mercy; cāi — I want
Good works and wisdom—I possess neither. Nor can I perform sādhana-bhajana. You are benevolent, and I am lowly; therefore, I seek Your causeless grace.
বাক্যমনোবেগ, ক্রোধজিহ্বাবেগ,
উদরৌপস্থবেগ
মিলিয়া এ সব, সংসারে ভাসায়ে,
দিতেছে পরমোদ্বেগ ৩

bākya — speech; manobega — mind + urge, impetus; krodha — anger; jihbā — tongue; bega — urge; udara — stomach; upastha — genitals; bega — urge; miliyā — having assembled; e — these; saba — all; saṁsāre — in worldly life; bhāsāye — they set adrift; diteche — they are giving; paramodbega — (ḍāruṇ) of the highest degree, greatest, worst (intense, severe, terrible) + (duḥkha) anxiety (distress)
The urges of speech, the mind, anger, the tongue, the belly, and the genitals, having assembled together, have set me adrift in the ocean of worldly life and are causing me excruciating anxiety.
অনেক যতনে, সেসব দমনে,
ছাḓইয়াছি আশা আমি
অনাথের নাথ, ডাকি তব নাম,
এখন ভরসা তুমি ৪

chāḓiyāchi āśā āmi
anāthera nātha, ḍāki taba nāma,

aneka — very much; yatane — laboriously; se — these [urges]; saba — all; damane — in subduing; chāḓiyāchi — I have given up; āśā — hope; āmi — I; anāthera — of the shelterless; nātha — O Lord; ḍāki — I call; taba — Your; nāma — name; ekhana — now; bharasā — hope; tumi — You
In trying to diligently subdue these urges, I have simply abandoned hope. O Lord of the shelterless, I call Your name, for now You are my only hope.
