hariHari; heO; artheraof wealth; sañcayein accumulating; biṣayasense enjoyment; prayāse(udyame) in endeavoring, perseverance; āna(bāje) other (trashy, worthless, unnecessary); kathā(kṛṣṇa-kathā byātīta anya-kathā) talks (all talks other than those which relate to Kṛṣṇa); prajalpane(bṛthā vākya-byaye) idle talk (useless use of words); ānaother; adhikāraqualification; niyamarules; āgraheeagerness;2; asatsaṅgabad, mundane + association; saṁghaṭane(asādhur saṅga grahaṇe) in mixing with (in accepting non-devotee association)

asthira siddhānte, rahinu majiyā,

haribhakti raila dūre

e hṛdaye mātra, parahiṁsā-mada,

pratiṣṭhā, śaṭhatā, sphure 2

asthira(laulya, aniścit) shaking (fickleness, unsettled or doubtful); siddhānte(vicār) in conclusion (considerations); rahinuI have remained; majiyā(magna hôiyā) having been immersed; haribhaktiHari + devotion; raila(rahilô) remained; dūrefar away; ethis; hṛdayewithin heart; mātraonly; parahiṁsāmalice, spite, envy; mada(mattatā) madness; pratiṣṭhā(yaśolipsa) arrogance (yearning for fame); śaṭhatā(dhūrtatā) cheating; sphure(sphurit hay) manifests

…and remaining absorbed in fickle conceptions, devotion to Śrī Hari remains far away. Within my heart, only envy of others, madness, arrogance, and wickedness arise.
