হরি হে!
নীরধর্মগত, জাহ্নবীসলিলে,
পঙ্কফেন দ্ড়্ষ্ট হয়
তথাপি কখন, ব্রহ্মদ্রবধর্ম,
সে সলিল না ছাḓঅয় ১

paṅka-phena dṛṣṭa haya
tathāpi kakhana, brahmadraba-dharma,
se salila nā chāḓaya 1
hari — Hari; he — O; nīradharma — water + nature; gata — possessing; jāhnabī — the Gaṅga; salile — in the waters; paṅka — mud; phena — foam, froth; dṛṣṭa — visible; haya — are; tathāpi — still; kakhana — ever; brahmadraba — (cinmay) transcendental + (tāralya) liquefied, fluid (liquidity, fluidity); dharma — nature; se — that; salila — water; nā — not; chāḓaya — leaves, gives up
O Hari! Mud and foam may be observed in the waters of Jāhnavī (the Ganges), who possesses an aqueous nature, but the nature of liquefied transcendence never leaves those waters.
বৈষ্ণবশরীর, অপ্রাক্ড়্ত সদা,
স্বভাববপুর ধর্মে
কভু নহে জḓঅ, তথাপি যে নিন্দে,
পḓএ সে বিষমাধর্মে ২
baiṣṇaba-śarīra, aprākṛta sadā,
sbabhāba-bapura dharme
kabhu nahe jaḓa, tathāpi ye ninde,
paḓe se biṣamādharme 2
baiṣṇaba — Vaiṣṇava; śarīra — body; aprākṛta — (prakṛtir niyamer atīt) transcendental (beyond the laws of nature); sadā — always; sbabhāba — innate nature, temperament; bapura — body’s; dharme — by nature; kabhu — ever; nahe — not; jaḓa — mundane; tathāpi — as such; ye — who; ninde — criticizes; paḓe — falls; se — he; biṣamādharme — (gurutara) terrible (very serious) + into irreligion
Similarly, the body of the Vaiṣṇava is always transcendental. From any perspective, his nature and body are never mundane. As such, one who criticizes him falls into consummate heresy.
সেই অপরাধে, যমের যাতনা,
পায় জীব অবিরত
হে নন্দনন্দন! সেই অপরাধে,
যেন নাহি হই হত ৩
sei aparādhe, yamera yātanā,
pāya jība abirata
he nandanandana! sei aparādhe,
yena nāhi ha·i hata 3
sei — this; aparādhe — by offense; yamera — Yamarāja’s; yātanā — torture, punishment; pāya — receives; jība — the soul; abirata — perpetual; he — O; nandanandana — son of Nanda; sei — that; aparādhe — by offense; yena — that; nāhi — not; ha·i — I be; hata — destroyed
For that offense, the soul perpetually receives suffering from Yamarāja. O Nanda-nandana, may I not be destroyed by such an offense.
তোমার বৈষ্ণব, বৈভব তোমার,
আমারে করুন দয়া
তবে মোর গতি, হবে তব প্রতি,
পাঽব তব পদছায়া ৪
tomāra baiṣṇaba, baibhaba tomāra,
āmāre karuna dayā
tabe mora gati, habe taba prati,
pā’ba taba padachāyā 4
tomāra — Your; baiṣṇaba — Vaiṣṇava; baibhaba — glory; tomāra — Your; āmāre — to me; karuna — may they do; dayā — mercy; tabe — then; mora — my; gati — journey, destiny; habe — will be; taba — Your (to You); prati — towards; pā’ba — I will attain; taba — Your; padachāyā — feet + shade
Your Vaiṣṇavas are Your glory. May they be merciful to me. Then my journey will lead to You, and I will attain the shade of Your lotus feet.
