তোমারে ভুলিয়া, অবিদ্যাপীḓআয়,
পীḓইত রসনা মোর
ক্ড়্ষ্ণনামসুধা, ভাল নাহি লাগে,
বিষয়সুখেতে ভোর ১

hari — Hari; he — O; tomāre — to You; bhuliyā — having forgotten; abidyā — ignorance; pīḓāya — with the disease [of jaundice]; pīḓita — diseased; rasanā — tongue; mora — my; kṛṣṇanāma — Kṛṣṇa + names; sudhā — nectar; bhāla — well; nāhi — not; lāge — strikes; biṣaya — worldly enjoyment; sukhete — in the pleasures; bhora — engrossed
O Hari! Having forgotten You, my tongue is afflicted with the jaundice of ignorance. The ambrosia of the holy name of Kṛṣṇa is unpleasant for me, as I am engrossed in worldly pleasures.
প্রতিদিন যদি, আদর করিয়া,
সেনাম কীর্তন করি
সিতপল যেন, নাশিঽ রোগমূল,
ক্রমে স্বাদু হয়, হরি ২
দুর্দৈব আমার, সে নামে আদর,
না হইল দয়াময়!
দশ অপরাধ, আমার দুর্দৈব,
কেমনে হইবে ক্ষয় ৩

sitapala yena, nāśi’ roga-mūla,
krame sbādu haya, hari 2
durdaiba āmāra, se nāme ādara,
nā ha·ila dayāmaya!

kemane ha·ibe kṣaya 3
pratidina — every + day; yadi — if; ādara kariyā — respectfully; se — that; nāma — name; kīrtana — I chant; sitapala — (michari) sugar candy; yena — that; nāśi’ — having destroyed; roga — disease; mūla — root; krame — gradually; sbādu — taste; haya — becomes; hari — O Hari.; durdaiba — (duṣkṛti, aparādh) misfortune (misdeeds, offences); āmāra — my; se — that; nāme — for name; ādara — love, appreciation, respect; nā — not; ha·ila — happened; dayāmaya — O merciful one; daśa — ten; aparādha — offenses; āmāra — my; durdaiba — misfortune; kemane — how; ha·ibe — will be; kṣaya — destroyed
If, with loving regard, I daily chant that holy name, which acts like sugar candy that can destroy jaundice at its root, gradually that name will become sweet to me, O Hari! My misfortune is that I have not developed loving regard for that name, O merciful Lord! How will the ten offenses [to the holy name], which are the cause of my misfortune, ever be obliterated?
অনুদিন যেন, তব নাম গাই,
ক্রমেতে ক্ড়্পায় তব
অপরাধ যাঽবে, নামে রুচি হঽবে,
আস্বাদিব নামাসব ৪

kramete kṛpāya taba
aparādha yā’be, nāme ruci ha’be,

anudina — (nirantar) every day (without cessation); yena — as; taba — Your; nāma — name; gāi — I sing; kramete — gradually; kṛpāya — by mercy; taba — Your; aparādha — offences; yā’be — will go; nāme — for name; ruci — relish, taste; ha’be — will be; āsbādiba — I will relish; nāmāsaba — (nāma-madhu) nectar (honey) of the name
If I sing Your holy name every day, by Your mercy, all my offenses will gradually disappear, a taste for Your holy name will develop within me, and I will relish the nectar of that name.
